Yea Falls to Peyron

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

It didn't take long to witness the first elimination of the day. Steve Yea moved his remaining 13,000 chips into the middle from under the gun. He was called by Jean Marie Peyron from late position. The rest of the table folded and the hands were tabled.

Yea: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Peyron: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Yea started with the lead, but it didn't last long when the {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop gave Peyron trips. Yea was unable to get the cards he needed to steal the lead back and headed to the rail.

Day 3 chip leader, Daniel Demicki
Day 3 chip leader, Daniel Demicki

Welcome back for what will no doubt be an exciting Day 3, here at the 2014 PokerStars.net APPT Macau Main Event from the picturesque City of Dreams.

The money-bubble burst in the final level of last night’s play, with Frangky Tegoeh finishing empty handed. Nine eliminations followed up until the end of play, with each player receiving HK$38,000 for their efforts.

Coming into today as the chip leader will be Daniel Demicki, who captured the lead in the final stages of the day. Close behind him is Jiajun Liu who held the lead for most of the day, as well as Hao Tian. He’ll be hoping to make a deeper run in this tournament, after finishing in 7th place in last year’s event.

Others to keep an eye on are Australian’s Billy “The Croc” Argyros and Michael Kanaan, Day 1b chip leader Peter Chan, 2014 APPT Seoul runner-up Christian Haggart and poker pro J.J. Liu.

Be sure to stay tuned, as the action will kick off at 3:00pm local time, in just over an hour’s time.
