Well into the break Jeffrey Holbrook just managed to take down an enormous pot which brought him the tournament chip lead with 37 players remaining!
The action was relayed to us as Holbrook got all his chips into the pot on a flop holding against Masato Yokosawa's and another player's .
The turn nor river helped Yokosawa or the third player who was knocked out while Yokosawa was left with 35,000 while Holbrook now sits on a staggering 410,000 chips.
We approached the table with 35,000 sitting in front of Artem Lobus and the all-in chip in front of Sam Cohen. A flop of was on the board and Lobus had a decision. There was a little table talk going on and finally Lobus made the call.
Cohen tabled for top set and Lobus turned over for two pair. The turn and river officially ended the tournament for Lobus and puts Cohen near the top of the leaderboard.
A player raised under the gun to 6,000 and the action folded to the small blind who moved all in for 48,500. The player next to act, Shinya Umano, moved all in over the top after a little while and the under-the-gun raiser folded his cards quickly.
Umano:
Small blind:
The board ran out and Umano raked in a very decent pot that puts him right up there on the leader board.
Chane Kampanatsanyakorn opened from under the gun to 7,000. It folded around to Andy Chan who called from the big blind.
The flop came and Chan check-called Kampanatsanyakorn's bet of 10,000. The turn again saw Chan check-call Kampanatsanyakorn's bet, this time for 20,000.
The river completed the board and again Chan checked over to Kampanatsanyakorn who bet 30,000. Chan finally let it go and last year's runner-up is stacking some chips that now have him sitting around average.
The board read when we arrived on the scene and Winfred Yu fired out a bet worth 30,000. Yu's opponent went into the tank for quite a while before eventually sliding out a raise to 70,000.
It took Yu only 10 seconds to make the call and his opponent sheepishly showed . Yu turned his over quickly and he raked in this huge pot with three of a kind.
Yu now sits on 230,000 chips and he's among the chip leaders.
Christian Haggart still sits on a big stack but he just once again doubled up a very excited Elie Yamen. Yamen ended up all in before the flop holding against Haggart's and the board ran out .
Yamen fist-pumped as the river hit the felt and he now sits on about 10 big blinds again.
