Karib Karib Takes Down Another

Just prior to the break Karib Karib eliminated another opponent. After a short-stack pushed all-in from early position, Karib Karib made the call with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. He found himself well in front against his opponent's {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and the board of {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} was enough for Karib to take down the 50,000 chip pot and build his stack even further.

Luis Arrilucea Eliminated

John Donahue raised preflop and Luis Arrilucea pushed all-in for his remaining 20,000 in chips. Donahue made the call with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} but needed help against {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} of Arrilucea. The situation was made even worse when another player revealed that he folded a ten, leaving Donahue with only the case ten in the deck. Of course the flop brings {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Arrilucea is unlucky to be eliminated from the tournament.

Levy Takes Down Another Pot

Grant Levy
Grant Levy
Grant Levy has been atop the leaderboard for most of the day and he just added a few more chips to his stack after making an impressive call. With the board showing A-10-8-3-9, Levy called an opponent's 25,000 bet holding a mere pocket pair of fives . . . and they were good!

Levy remains above the 200,000 mark in chips heading into the last break of the day.

Thirsty Work for Terrence Chan

Terrence Chan raised pre-flop to 3,500 only to get re-raised to 8,000 by Ziv Bachar. The action didn't end there as Chan made it 15,000 more to go; Bachar made the call.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Chan led out with a 22,000 bet which Bachar called instantly.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} prompting Chan to move all in. Bachar went into the tank but eventually folded.

After the hand, Chan stacked up over 200,000 in chips.
