Billy Sukkar Eliminated

Billy Sukkar
Billy Sukkar
Moments ago, Australian Billy Sukkar, a cousin of Joe and Tony Hachem, had his aces cracked by the {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and was eliminated from the tournament.

One opponent limped into the pot pre-flop and another completed the bet from the small blind. Action then fell to Sukkar, who made it 900 to go from the big blind; both of his opponents called.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and both the small blind and Sukkar checked to the limper, who led out with a 3,000 bet. The small blind got out of the way and Sukkar made the call.

The turn brought the {A-Spades}, giving Sukkar the top set, and he checked to his opponent who moved all in, putting Sukkar to a decision for all of his chips. Having approximately 12,000 left in front of him, Sukkar made the call, at which time his opponent revealed his made flush. To stay alive, Sukkar needed either the board to pair or a diamond to fall off on the river, but neither draw came through as the last card off the deck was the {2-Spades}.
