Lily Bui had been waiting patiently for a decent hand to resurrect her tournament, and when she looked down at pocket jacks from under the gun, she decided to push her short stack into the middle. Her bet was called by a player holding pocket nines and Bui cringed as it was the same hand that had crippled her earlier in the day.

The flop of {5-Diamonds}

was scary for Bui, but not as scary as the {9-Spades}

which landed on the turn. Bui was left drawing very slim, but amazingly the {7-Diamonds}

on the river put a straight on the board, and Bui survives as both players chop up the pot.
