Tran Is Back

JC Tran
JC Tran
JC Tran opened with a raise from under the gun and found one caller in middle position.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Tran checked to his opponent who took a stab of 2,600. Tran made the call.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and again Tran checked and his opponent fired a second barrel worth 5,000. Tran took a moment and tossed out a call.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and Tran checked for a third time, and once again his opponent released a bet of 8,000. The bet represented most of Tran's stack but he quickly cut out the required chips and splashed them into the middle.

Tran's opponent sheepishly revealed {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for just king-high as Tran tabled {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair of eights which was good to scoop a huge pot.

"That's how the pros do it huh?" quipped Amnon Filippi from the rail.

"Nice catch!" chirped Tran's opponent.

"Don't you mean nice call?" replied Filippi.

After being on the short stack for most of the day, Tran is incredibly now up to 36,000 and looking dangerous.
