English on the Rail

The rule is "English only at the table" but that rule doesn't apply to Tim English (unfortunately for him). English moved all in for 2,025 from the small blind after the button player opened for 600. Both the big blind and the button called the raise. On a flop of {Q-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}, the big blind bet 2,000 and the button called.

The turn came {A-Spades}. The big blind bet 2,000 a second time, then folded when the button raised all in for a total of 6,375. That meant the side pot belonged to the button. He showed {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} for top two pair against English's {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, top pair. The river {9-Diamonds} sent English to the rail.
