Zach Gruneberg Wins!
Congratulations to Zach Gruneberg who, on the stroke of 5 a.m. local time, delivered the final blow to capture the title of Event #4 of the 2009 Aussie Millions. He was able to overcome 139 other hopefuls and a heavyweight final table to take home the prized Championship Gold Ring and a handsome AU$35,000 first place prize.

It's time for some sleep, but we'll be back into the thick of the action again tomorrow as Event #5 kicks off with the always entertaining $1,100 HORSE event. The jockeys will begin racing at 12:30 p.m. local time and we look forward to your company once again then.

Craig Bergeron - 2nd Place
Craig Bergeron - 2nd Place
Craig Bergeron raised from the button and Zach Gruneberg made the call in the big blind.

The flop landed {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Gruneberg fired out 24,000. Bergeron thought for a moment and then motioned all in and Gruneberg obliged.

Gruneberg: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Bergeron: {K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

Bergeron's pair and flush draw would need to improve as Gruneberg tabled top pair. The river brought the {10-Clubs}, as well as the end of the tournament with Zach Gruneberg capturing the title!

Craig "HU4ROLLZ" Bergeron was eliminated in 2nd place after a tremendous tournament and collected AU$25,200.

Gruneberg Closing in on Title

[user67765]
Craig Bergeron raised to 24,000 from the button and Zach Gruneberg made the call in the big blind.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Gruneberg checked. Bergeron bet, Gruneberg check-rased, Bergeron raised again, and Gruneberg called.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and Gruneberg check-called the bet from Bergeron.

The river landed the {J-Clubs} and Gruneberg checked to Bergeron who sighed, "I don't think I can value bet," and checked behind. Gruneberg tabled {Q-Spades}{8-Spades} and his pair of eights were good.

Gruneberg is up to 560,000 to Bergeron's 140,000.

Craig Bergeron - 273,000

In addition to the prize money, the players are also playing for the coveted Championship Gold Ring which has just been placed on the table.

Bergeron Flops Late Night Monster

[user67765]
Craig Bergeron raised it up from the button and Jesse Maguire was the lone caller out of the big blind.

They saw a flop of {8-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades} and Maguire checked to Bergeron, who fired out a bet of 10,000. Maguire then check-raised to 20,000, which sent Beregeron into a moment of thought. He eventually put in another raise to 30,000.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Maguire check-called the bet from Bergeron. The river produced the {10-Clubs} and again Bergeron bet and Maguire called.

Bergeron turned over {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a full house, eights full of jacks, as Maguire flashed the {A-Diamonds} and mucked his hand. Bergeron is up to 255,000 with Maguire now under pressure with only 75,000.

Game On!

[user67765]
With plenty of yawns around the room and talk of fatigue, the three remaining have just been offered the option of calling it a night and coming back in tomorrow afternoon to complete the rest of this tournament.

The three shrugged, looked at each other blankly for a moment, then decided to solider on and finish it tonight.
