Hand #68 - Stewart Scott

Elliot Smith has the button in Seat 3. Zach Gruneberg raises to 100,000 and is called by Stewart Scott from the small blind. The flop comes {3-Spades} {3-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. Scott quickly checks to Gruneberg. He bets 150,000, all in yellow (5,000) chips. Scott calls using chocolate (25,000) chips. The turn is the {9-Spades}. Scott again checks to Gruneberg, who checks behind.

The river is the {8-Spades}, putting three spades on board. Scott checks a third time. Gruneberg fires out for 300,000 chips. Scott shakes his head and says, "Call." Gruneberg instantly mucks his hand without showing. Although there is no reason for Scott to open his hand, he shows {K-?} {Q-?}.

Scott moved over 6 million in chips after collecting that pot.

Hand No. 69 -

Stewart Scott has the button in Seat 5. Zach Gruneberg opens to 100,000 in middle position and Rajkumar Ramakrishnan calls from the big blind. The flop comes {4-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {4-Spades} and Ramakrishnan check-calls a bet of 150,000 from Gruneberg. The turn is the {7-Diamonds} and Ramakrishnan checks once again. Gruneberg announces all in and Ramakrishnan calls instantly, turning over {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} for quads! A dejected Gruneberg flips over {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}; he's drawing dead.

A meaningless {9-Hearts} is the river card. Zach Gruneberg is consoled by his fellow players. He earns AU$210,000 for his impressive sixth place showing.

Hand #70 - Stewart Scott

Peter Rho has the button in Seat 6. Elliot Smith raises to 100,000 and is called by Stewart Scott. Everyone else folds. It's a rainbow flop of {5-Spades} {k-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. Smith leads out for 150,000 and is raised by Scott to 400,000. Smith has to think about that raise. He tanks for about a minute, absent-mindedly riffling a short stack of chips, before mucking his hand.

Hand #71 - Sam Capra

Rajkumar Ramakrishnan has the button in Seat 7. Sam Capra calls from the small blind and Elliot Smith checks his option. The flop comes {K-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and both players check. The turn is the {6-Spades} and Capra moves all in. Smith folds and Capra picks up the pot.

Hand #72 - Elliot Smith

Sam Capra has the button in Seat 8. Rajkumar Ramakrishnan raises to 120,000 after Peter Rho folds. Elliot Smith and Stewart Scott are in the blinds. Both players call the raise.

The flop is all small cards, {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {6-Spades}. Smith leads out for 200,000 and is called only by Scott.The turn is the {10-Hearts}. Smith and Scott both check to the {3-Spades} river, then check again. Smith shows {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} for two pair and the winner.

Hand No. 74 -

Stewart Scott has the button in Seat 5. Sam Capra opens with an all-in raise from under the gun. Action folds to Peter Rho in the small blind, who asks for a count (250,000). Rho then makes the call and the cards are opened after Rajkumar Ramakrishnan folds.

Capra: {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}
Rho: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}

"It's gonna come. Come on boys, come on boys!" Capra says. "My boys are gonna do it for me." He's pointing at his card protector, which we believe to be a picture of his children. As the dealer burns and turns the flop, Capra is asking for the ten of hearts. He doesn't get it; the flop is {3-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. When the turn and river blank out {9-Diamonds} and {5-Spades}, Capra is out of the tournament in fifth place.
