Savage Takes One Out

Ben Savage has moved up to 23,000 in chips after raising preflop to 2,500 with {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, only to commit the rest of his stack after an opponent reraised all in for 10,075.

Savage was dominated by the opponent's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}, but managed to score some good fortune and the opponent's scalp when the board was spread {4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}.

Glazier Doubles Up

Jackie Glazier found herself flipping for her tournament life when she moved all in preflop holding {10-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, only to see an opponent call with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The opponent increased his lead on the flop of {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, but Glazier moved up to 15,000 in chips after the board ran out {k-Clubs},{q-Spades} to give her the straight.

Rubie Shines On

The action folded around to Brendon Rubie who open-shoved for 20,000. The opponent on the button called, tabling {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and was ahead of Rubie's {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

It was back and forth between the two when the flop and turn was spread {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, but Rubie managed to strike gold - the river {q-Hearts} giving him chips and a huge pot.

The opponent is still in the tournament, but doesn't appear to be too happy. Rubie is all smiles, now on 42,000 in chips.

Mahrenholz Busted

Karl Mahrenholz has been eliminated. He had lost most of his chips when he 3-bet preflop holding {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs} against an opponent who called with {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. The latter open-shoved on a {Q-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop, Mahrenholz called but couldn't catch a jack on the {5-Hearts} turn or {6-Clubs} river.

He has since gone missing from his table and we're assuming he was unable to recover.

Stead-y as he Goes

Kerry Stead has moved up to 48,000 in chips after taking a huge chunk of change off another opponent.

The money was all in the middle preflop and Stead found himself in a flip, holding {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} against the opponent's {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

The board of {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} gave both players the flush but Stead had it made with what the young kids call, "the nizzles".

Karita And Modra At It Again

After their earlier rumpus, Sean Karita and Hamis Modra have locked horns again but it was for the final time.

Karita moved all-in from UTG for 10,900 and the button pushed behind him for 12,500. Modra called both players and the cards were on their backs.

Karita: {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}
Button: {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}
Modra: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}

Board: {4-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}

The rivered Queen gave Modra the absolute lot, eliminating the other two players. Hamish Modra is up to 75,000.

Brendan Buzzing

Brendan Rubie has doubled up, he pushed with {K-Spades} {6-Diamonds} and got called by the big blind's {A-?} {J-?}. Rubie jumped up to 59,500 though when the board came out {2-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {K-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs}.

Pampliega Pounded

Amer Akkari has moved up to 50,000 after eliminating Luis Pampliega.

We caught the action as both players checked the flop of {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}, then Akkari led out on the turn of the {j-Spades} before Pamplegia snap-shoved.

Akkari called, tabling {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush draw, behind Akkari's {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Needing any spade to survive, the river blanked out with the {10-Diamonds}.

Broken Gates

Garry Gates raised to 3,000 and Tony Dunst flat-called from the button.

The flop came out {J-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and Gates bet 3,600. Dunst moved all-in and Gates immediately called him.

Dunst: {K-Diamonds} {K-?}
Gates: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

The turn and river were both blanks, Garry Gates is down to 44,000. Tony Dunst is up to 52,000.
