Judah Says, "Settle In"

We're not sure of the accuracy of this report, but we'll run it anyway.

According to one of the tournament staff Mel Judah just stopped by and predicted that this tournament will crown a champion at 3am or 4am in the morning.

If Mr Judah is correct, that's going to be a wee long day for the players. Settle in.

Steck In the Mud

We're still stuck at 13 players, and playing hand for hand.

Mike Stecker has doubled up. The chips went in preflop with Stecker holding {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} against Oliver Speidel's {A-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs} to send Stecker soaring to 237,000. Speidel is down to 240,000.

Top Five

The top of the counts with 11 left:

Sam Weir - 345,000
Kristian Lunardi - 342,000
Daniel Neilson - 293,000
Mike Stecker - 230,000
Benjamin Alacam - 215,000

Neilson Calls Down Good

Daniel Neilson opened from the button to 9,500 with Leo Margets raising to 20,000. Neilson called.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Neilson flat called a 17,000 chip bet from Margets. On the turn {8-Hearts} he called a 20,000 chip bet. On the river {4-Spades} both players checked, and Neilson rolled over {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} to beat Margets' {K-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Neilson has 445,000 chips in his stack. Margets is not quite that high, sitting at only 163,000.
