Lum Still Fighting

Damon Lum is still fighting and found another double up recently.

Preflop, Lum opened to 17,000 and Michael Spilkin popped it to 35,000. Lum responded by shoving for around 110,000 and Spilkin called.

Lum: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Spilkin: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The best hand would hold up to win, with Lum ascending to 235,000 in chips. Spikin has just 42,000 left.

Leo Margets: From the Outhouse to the Penthouse

Preflop, Leo Margets made it 15,000 to go with Sam Weir coming over the top to 42,000. Margets moved all in for 220,000 and Weir made the call.

Margets: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Weir: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Things were not looking good for the last remaining woman in this field. Until she spiked {7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, that suddenly put her in control of the hand.

The {3-Spades} turn and {j-Spades} river put a four flush on the board but neither player had a spade.

Margets moves up to 452,000. Weir drops to 71,000.

Stecker's Straight

Preflop, Benjamin Alacam opened to 12,000 with Mike Stecker making the call. The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Alacam check-raised all in. Alacam had Stecker covered, so Stecker made the call for all of his chips.

Stecker: {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Alacam: {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The board blanked {4-Spades} and {Q-Hearts} to ship the pot to Stecker's flopped straight. Stecker has 319,000, Alacam drops to 130,000.

Oliver Speidel Eliminated in 8th Place ($14,700 AUD)

With the elimination of Oliver Speidel we're at a seven handed final table.

The money went in preflop, after Leo Margets opened to 8,000 and Oliver Speidel moved all in for 180,000.

Speidel: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Margets: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} made Margets a flush and sends Speidel out one short of the final table.

They are breaking quickly for the seven handed final table. We'll have the seating draw and chip counts shortly.

Play will begin shortly.

Tony Dunst Eliminated in 7th Place ($17,150 AUD)

Tony "Bond18" Dunst has been eliminated by Leo Margets, who takes the chip lead.

Dunst opened preflop to 13,500 and Margets made the call from the blinds. The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}. Margets checked the flop, and Dunst fired 18,000. Margets check-raised to 48,000 and Dunst responded by moving all in for about 211,000. Margets made the call and they tabled their cards.

Dunst: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Margets: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Margets set would leave Dunst in a bad position, and the {q-Clubs} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river would fail to improve him.

"Someone get me a chip rack," said Margets as she dragged the pot. "I can't see my cards".

With the huge pot Margets moves up to 856,000.
