Stecker's Trap Fails

Mike Stecker tried to trap Daniel Neilson.

Preflop, Neilson made it 24,000 and both Kristian Lunardi on the button and Stecker in the big blind called.

They took a {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop. Stecker checked and Neilson led 46,000. Lunardi took his leave, but Stecker called.

They both checked the {j-Hearts} turn. On the river {5-Hearts} Stecker checked and Neilson checked behind quickly.

"Straight," said Stecker, as he rolled over {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Neilson mucked.

Neilson Needs A New Watch

Andrew "BalugaWhale" Seidman is taking timeout from the players party, and is on the rail of the final table.

"You don't have a watch?" said Seidman to Neilson.

"Nope" came the reply from Neilson.

"All of the real Aussie pros have nice watches," said Seidman. "You need to buy one man".

Why It's Slow

The action is very slow due to the good structure of the tournament. At this stage most tournaments are push or fold, but this baby still has a ton of play in it.

The chip counts at the moment with number of big blinds:

Daniel Neilson 870,000 (72.5 bb)
Leo Margets - 690,000 (57.5 bb)
Mike Stecker - 570,000 (47.5 bb)
Kristian Lunardi - 300,000 (25 bb)

The next level will see some pressure on Lunardi's current stack, and start to push the action a bit.

Neilson Establishing Lead

A recent preflop skirmish between Daniel Neilson and Leo Margets has put some distance between him and his three opponents.

Margets opened under the gun to 26,000 and Neilson popped it up to 74,000. Margets fired back to 176,000.

Neilson's response to this? All you can eat baby! Unfortunately after hyping for a 1.5 million chip pot... We got a Margets fold.

Neilson is up to 960,000. Margets drops to 535,000.
