Mizzi Mauled

Mizzi must be feeling dizzy
Mizzi must be feeling dizzy
Sorel Mizzi has been amongst the recent spate of eliminations, taken out by Patrick Dillon.

Mizzi moved all in preflop for 6,375 holding {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and the action folded around to Dillon who called with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The board was spread {5-?}{5-Diamonds}{2-?}{9-Diamonds}{q-?} and all the chips were shipped to Dillon. Mizzi's now getting busy on the cash tables.

Colman Doubles

Catching the action on a flop of {5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} Julius Colman fired out a bet of 3,200 and found two callers to see the {A-Spades} appear on the turn.

Action checked to Colman who moved all in with one of his opponents making the call.

Colman: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Colman had top pair but his opponent had outs to the flush. The river fell the {5-Diamonds} missing his opponent and Colman doubles up to 40,000.

Karamalikis Continues

An unknown opponent moved the last of his short stack into the middle preflop with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, only to be called down by Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONG' Karamalikis who tabled {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}; the opponent is history and Karamalikis moves on up to 35,500.

Rosenkrantz Gets No Action

Jay Rosenkrantz opened with a raise to 2,000 from under the gun and the table folded around.

"So sick," sighed the DeucesCracked instructor. Of course the modern trend in poker is to use the under-the-gun position to steal, but not this time, as Rosenkrantz flashed {A-Hearts}{a-Spades}.

Gray Builds a Boat

Jason Gray raised it up to 2,000 from the cutoff and found a caller in the big blind.

The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {J-Clubs} and action checked to Gray who fired 2,000. His opponent made the call.

The river brought the {3-Spades} and Gray's opponent open-shipped all in with Gray making the call.

Gray's opponent tabled {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for trip jacks but Gray held {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a full house to take down the healthy pot. He's up to 55,000.

Graham Gets Green

An opponent under the gun limped in and the action folded around to Jarred Graham who raised to 1,500 from the button.

The small blind folded and Tony Green moved all in for 5,375 from the big blind. The UTG opponent called, but then Graham four-bet-shoved for 11,600. The opponent called.

Green: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
UTG: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Graham: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

It was a huge board for Graham as it was spread {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} for trips! Graham thus claimed the bounty of Tony Green, along with 36,000 in chips.

Drove the Sherrie to the Levy, But the Levy's Not Dry

Sherrie Gelberg has just managed to double up through Grant Levy after she moved all in from UTG+1 for 6,875 holding {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and found herself flipping for her tournament life against Levy's {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

The flop of {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} saw her take the lead and she all but sealed it when the {a-Hearts} spiked on the turn.

No two-outer heartbreak this time: the river {5-Spades} blanked on the river, doubling Gelberg up to around 14,000 in chips.
