From the cutoff seat, Erick Lindgren raised to 1,000. Winfred Yu reraised to 2,500 from the button. Lindgren made the call to see yet another flop.
The flop came and Lindgren led for 3,500. Yu made the call to see the fall on the turn. Lindgren checked and Yu fired 7,000. Lindgren released his hand and Yu won the pot.
Lindgren's stack continues to yo-yo here in the early goings as he's back to 100,000, the starting stack. Yu moved to 106,000.
Jonathan Karamalikis raised to 1,500 from middle position. Phil Ivey, runner-up in this event last year, made the call from the small blind and Billy Jordanou called from the big blind.
The flop came down and both players checked to Karamalikis. He fired 3,000 and won the pot. Shortly after, Ivey lost even more chips.
He raised to 1,500 on the button and Daniel "jungleman12" Cates called from the big blind to see the flop come down . After Cates checked. Ivey fired 2,000. Cates made the call.
The turn card was the and Cates checked. Ivey fired again, this time for 5,500. Cates didn't just call this time. Instead, he raised to 18,000 and Ivey called.
The river completed the board with the and Cates fired 31,000. Ivey made the call after he used up all, but the last second of his 30-second time bank. Cates tabled the for a turned two pair and Ivey mucked his hand.
Ivey dropped all the way to half his starting stack and now only has 50,000 left. Cates moved to 160,000.
With 20,000 chips already in the pot, the board was between Erik Cajelais and Sorel Mizzi. Cajelais fired 16,000 and Mizzi made the call.
The river completed the board with the and Cajelais checked. Mizzi bet 34,000 and that was good enough to win him the pot. He's up to 124,000 while Cajelais dropped back to 78,000.
David Oppenheim opened the lo-jack with a min-raise to 1,000 as Erik Seidel called next to speak before Brendon Rubie three-bet to 6,000.
Being pot limit preflop however, Rubie was forced to make it 4,500 as both Oppenheim and Seidel called to see a flop fall.
From out of the big blind, Rubie slid out a continuation-bet of 11,000 only to have Oppenheim drop in an assortment of chips amounting to a re-raise of 24,000.
Seidel swiftly folded, as did Rubie, to see Oppenheim collect the pot.

Karamalikis showed that he rivered a full house with the and Lindgren mucked his hand, laughing in the process as he dropped to 90,000. Karamalikis increased to 130,000.

Lindgren fired out a continuation-bet of 2,500 only to have Jordanou make it 5,500 from the small blind.
Once Cates had passed from the big, Lindgren slid in a three-bet to 13,000 as Jordanou kicked his cards to the muck.
"Nice bet!" stated Jordanou as he slipped to 72,000. Lindgren on the other hand, has just climbed over his starting stack - albeit by a couple of big blinds.
