River Bet Win for Sarwer

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Jeff Sarwer opened the cutoff to 1,500 and Gary Benson made the call from the big blind.

The {3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board was checked down to the river until a bet of 2,300 from Sarwer was enough to take the pot away from Benson.

Sarwer is now up to 85,100 in chips.

"Bollocks My Life"

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Ben Savage limped in from middle position, Neil Channing limped from the cutoff, Andrew Scarf limped from the small blind and David Ewing checked in the big blind. All four players saw the flop for the minimum and it came down {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Scarf and Ewing checked before Savage fired 1,500. Channing called and then Scarf raised to 5,200. Ewing folded and Savage folded, but Channing made the call with a kiss of his chips.

The turn brought the {J-Clubs} and a third club to the board. Scarf fired 8,000 and with about 15,000 behind, Channing went into the tanked. He tanked for about a minute before saying, "Bollocks my life." He then tanked for a bit longer while apologizing for taking so long. Eventually, he gave it up and Scarf won the pot to move to 67,000 in chips.

Drewe: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Chitas: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to see Chitas double through to 33,000 as Drewe took a dive down to 108,000 in chips.

David Steicke
David Steicke

One player raised to 1,300 and the button made it 4,000 before action fell on David Steicke. He moved all in for 14,500. The original raiser folded and the button made the call.

Steicke was all in with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and up against the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for the player on the button. The flop, turn and river ran out {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} to send Steicke to the rail.

Benson Can't Bluff Bloom

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Gary Benson opened to 1,300 form the cutoff and Max Bloom defended his big blind to see a {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop fall.

Benson's 2,000-chip continuation bet was check-called by Bloom as the {5-Clubs} rolled off on the turn and Benson fired a further 4,500.

Bloom again check-called as the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Benson fired his third barrel for 7,000 and Bloom made the call tabling his {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Benson mucked while slipping to 16,000 as Bloom happily collected the pot.

Defending Champ Krost Eliminated

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Tyron Krost - eliminated
Tyron Krost - eliminated

With the flop reading {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, defending Aussie Millions Main Event champion Tyron Krost was involved in a hand with Gavin Griffin. After Griffin fired a bet of 4,000, Krost raised to 8,500. Griffin reraised all in for 38,000 and Krost made the call for less and was at risk.

Griffin had the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} and was crushing Krost's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. This wasn't the first time Krost was crushed here in the Main Event. He recently was on the bad end of a set-over-set confrontation, but smacked a miracle one-outer on the river to stay alive. It seems Krost may have used up all of his run good though.

The turn brought the {J-Spades} and the river the {2-Diamonds}. Both left Krost second best in the hand and Griffin won the pot. With no more chips left in front of him, Krost was eliminated from the tournament and ensured that there would be no back-to-back run. Griffin moved to 76,000 in chips.

Marsters Booted

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Tim "TurnRiva" Marsters
Tim "TurnRiva" Marsters

Full Tilt Poker online qualifier Tim "TurnRiva" Marsters open-shipped his button for his last 8,500 and the big blind made the call.

Marsters: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

With Marsters trailing and needing to spike to stay alive, the {7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} flop kept him in contention - although slim - as he needing to find one of the two remaining sevens in the deck.

The turn of the {Q-Clubs} was no help, either was the {9-Hearts}, as Marsters stood up and made his way from the tournament floor.

Levy Shoves

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

From under the gun, 2006 Aussie Millions Main Event champion Lee Nelson raised to 1,500. Full Tilt Poker online qualifier Gerasimos Deres reraised to 3,475 from middle position. Grant Levy, 2007 APPT Sydney champion, reraised all in for 21,000 after asking Deres how many yellow chips he had left. Nelson folded and then after a minute of tanking, Deres mucked the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} face up and was left with 12,600 in chips. Levy moved to 27,000.
