Mizzi Crawling Back from the Brink of Elimination
We happened by Sorel Mizzi's table and noticed that he was all in for just 725. The last time we had seen him, he held a healthy stack. While we didn't catch the hand, Mizzi explained on Twitter:
"Hand that actually made me lol: I raise JJ in early pos get called on button and sb. Flop T57 sb donks 1500 I make 5k he calls turn 5 . . . He donks 3500 I raise to 8k he calls river K he donks again for 6500 and I call. He has K7 lol."
As we said, Mizzi was now all in and up against two opponent. When the flop came down

, the big blind bet 1,800 and forced out the player on the hijack.
Showdown
Mizzi:

Big Blind:

"Queen ball," Mizzi requested in the hopes of picking up an open-ended straight draw. Ask and ye shall receive as the
spiked on the turn. Even still, Mizzi needed to catch on the river, which is exactly what he did when the
hit. While he more than tripled, Mizzi was still short with 3,075.
On the very next hand, Mizzi got it all in with
and dominated the
of his opponent in the hijack. The board ran out an uneventful

and just like that, Mizzi was up to 7,000 . . . 10x the amount he had two hands prior.
