Boxell Exits; Lewis Discovered

We regret to inform you that Australian Poker Hall of Famer Leo Boxell has been eliminated from the tournament, though we did discover Toby Lewis in the tournament. Also as a side note, Jeff Rossiter has been moved to Table 24 and is currently sitting with a stack of 12,000.

Rome Takes Hit

Roman "ROMES_HOME" Priplotski has just taken a hit to his stack and we managed to catch the action with a flop showing {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

Priplotski was in the hand with Steve Bouya and Priplotski bet 1,000. Bouya made the call and the {10-Clubs} was dealt on the turn. This time both players checked and a {3-Spades} hit the river. Priplotski opted to check-call a bet of 2,650 and mucked his hand when Bouya turned over {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Mizzi Squeezed

With about 4,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, Sorel Mizzi checked from the big blind, as did a player in middle-position. The button then bet out 1,300, which Mizzi called. The MP player then woke up with a check-raise to 5,000, leaving himself just a few thousand behind. The button thought long and hard before announcing a raise to 10,000.

The squeeze worked on Mizzi as he folded and preserved his stack of 18,000. It was a good thing he did too, as the MP player snap-called and revealed {K-Spades}{J-Spades}, which had the button's {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} crushed.

Aristidou, Aristidon't

The end of Peter Arisitidou's tournament began when a player opened to 475. It was at this point that Aristidou popped it to 1,150. When the action flew back around the table, Aristidou's opponent four-bet to 3,600. Aristidou didn't hesitate when he shoved his stack in and his opponent made a quick call.

Arisitidou: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop was just about enough to send Arisitidou packing anfd when the turn and river bricked, it was all over for the prominent Melbourne local.
