When we arrived at the table, Phil Ivey was pitted in a hand against two other players and the first to act on the 
flop. Ivey checked, as did the second player. The third player slid out a bet of 1,100 and Ivey called. The other player folded.
The turn card was the 
and paired the board. Ivey checked and his opponent reached for chips right away. The player tossed out a yellow T5,000 chip and announced a bet of 2,500. Ivey made the call.
The river card completed the board with the 
and Ivey checked again. His opponent didn't slow down and fired 7,000. Ivey grabbed the chips to make the call, thought about things for a few seconds and then tossed them in. His opponent then tabled the 
for a rivered gutshot straight and Ivey mucked his hand.
As the pot was being pushed to the player, Ivey turned towards PokerNews' reporter and said, "There's my lucky reporter," with a wry smile across his face.
