Slade Fisher Eliminated in 18th Place (A$60,000)

Slade Fisher - 18th place
Slade Fisher - 18th place

Slade Fisher was short for a while and after his previous shove didn't get called he went for it again. This time he shoved for 124,000 under the gun +1 and Karim Jomeen made the call from the button. The other players folded giving us another all-in showdown.

Karim Jomeen{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Slade Fisher{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The flop brought out {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Jomeen stayed in the lead. On the turn the {K-Spades} hit and Fisher seemed to be back in it. From the rail we heard, "It's coming, wait for it" and a nice "Bink!", as the {Q-Diamonds} got flipped over by the dealer. Jomeen hit his straight and ended Fisher's tournament run.

Healy Folds Set to Nelson

From the cutoff seat, Patrick Healy raised to 24,000. Phil Ivey flatted on the button and Lee Nelson called from the big blind to see the flop come down {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Nelson checked and Healy bet 36,000. Ivey called, then Nelson check-raised to 130,000. Healy called and Ivey folded.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Nelson bet 225,000. Healy requested a count on Nelson's remaining stack, got it, then called to see the river.

The {5-Diamonds} landed on the river and Nelson moved all in for 1.064 million. Healy tanked for a bit, then folded the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} face up on the table. Nelson didn't show and raked in the pot.

Jomeen Chipping Up with Flop Shove

From under the gun, Karim Jomeen raised to 30,000. Mile Krstanoski three-bet to 75,000 from the small blind and action moved back over to Jomeen. He reraised and made it 175,000 to go. Krstanoski took some time and then called with 470,000 behind. Jomeen had 280,000 left going to the flop.

The flop was the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Jomeen shoved in for 280,000 after Krstanoski checked. Krstanoski tanked long and hard for several minutes and then folded.

Kenneth Wong raised from the button to 26,000, and after Turk gave up his small blind Dypvik made it 73,000 to go. Wong opted to four-bet to 150,000 and Dypvik put his 520,000 chips on the line. Wong made the call creating another huge pot.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and that brings us down to just three tables of six.

Josh Barrett Elminated in 20th Place (A$45,000)

Josh Barrett
Josh Barrett

The last hand of Josh Barrett's 2012 Aussie Millions began when Oliver Speidel opened the pot from the cutoff. Barrett was in the small blind and he shoved his 200,000-chip short-stack in the middle. It was then on Patrick Healy in the big blind and he simply called. Speidel then raised it up to 575,000 and Healy made another flat call.

Barrett watched on as Speidel and Healy checked down a {j-Spades}{a-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board. Barrett didn't look confident as he showed his {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and rightly so as Healy turned over his {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Speidel sent his cards into the muck and Healy raked in the big pot. Barrett goes home in a solid 20th place, picking up A$45,000 for his time.

Elton Tsang Eliminated in 21st Place (A$45,000)

Elton Tsang
Elton Tsang

Elton Tsang just got coolered pretty badly by Janis Lesinskis who is on an absolute tear since play recommenced 20 minutes ago. Lesinskis raised to 25,000 under the gun and got called by Tsang. The flop came down {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Lesinskis check-called a bet.

On the turn the {9-Spades} hit and the action went check-check. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Lesinskis bet 40,000. Tsang raised after which Lesinskis pushed all-in and Tsang called. Tsang turned over {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} but his full house wasn't enough against the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Lesinskis.

We said goodbye to Tsang, but Lesinskis wasn't done yet. The very next hand Matt Turk raised to 30,000 from the button and Borge Dypvik three-bet to 78,000 from the small blind. Lesinskis was in the big blind and he cold-four-bet to 210,000. Both his opponents folded and Lesinskis raked in another pot.
