Ramakrishnan Wins Huge Pot

When we reached the table, the board read {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. There was about 35,000 in the pot, an unknown player was already all in, and Raj Ramakrishnan and Andy Lee were battling for a side pot.

Lee led out for 7,500, Ramakrishnan raised to 23,000, and Lee moved all in for effectively 62,225. Ramakrishnan thought for 10 seconds or so, then called.

Lee: {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Ramakrishnan: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
All-In Player: {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board, and Ramakrishnan, who finished fourth in the 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event, was shipped a massive 130,000-chip pot.

Lee dropped down to around 50,000 chips.

Mahmood Flushes Elder

The player to Rupert Elder's right raised to 700 and the former EPT San Remo winner called. Ayaz Mahmood was sitting in the big blind and he threw in the call as well.

The flop came down {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} and all three players checked. On the turn the {2-Spades} hit and it was checked to Elder who bet 1,300. Both his opponents called.

The river brought a fourth spade and all three players checked. Elder showed {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Mahmood started singing, "Flushy, flushy, flushy," as he tabled {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Mahmood took down the pot and is up to around 80,000 chips.

Chop It Up

Luke McLean and an opponent were heads up on a board of {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. McLean led out for 3,125, and his opponent called.

The river was the {q-Spades}, and McLean tossed out two yellow T5,000 chips. His opponent shifted in his chair, and tanked for the better part of a minute before calling. McClean turned over {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a pair of queens, and his opponent let out a long sigh of relief, then flipped over {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for the same exact hand.
