Healy Aims for Another Aussie Millions Final Table

Back in 2012, Perth's Patrick Healy finished fifth in this very event for AU$300,000. It was just his second score behind a seventh-place finish in the 2008 Joe Hachem and Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament. Since then, Healy has went on to amass more than a dozen cashes and now sits on more than $409,000 in lifetime tournament earnings. If all goes according to plan, Healy will add to that here in the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event.

In a recent hand, a player in the cutoff opened for 600 and Healy called from the button. Both blinds folded, the flop came down , and the cutoff checked. Healy qucikly bet 600 and it was enough to win the pot. Not a great hand, but a good excuse to update all you Healy fans on his chip stack.

Ivey Back To Starting Stack

Action folded to nine-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Phil Ivey in the hijack seat. He tossed out a blue T1,000 chip and announced a raise to 500. Next to act, the player in the cutoff seat reraised to 1,600. The button and blinds folded, then Ivey made the call to see the flop.

The fell, and Ivey checked the paired board. His opponent fired 1,200, and Ivey made the call to see the land on the turn. Ivey checked, and his opponent checked.

The river was the to complete the board, and Ivey fired a bet with one yellow T5,000 chip, announcing 4,000 as his wager. His opponent only took a few moments to fold, and Ivey scooped in the pot to get back to the starting stack of 30,000 in chips.
