Kamutzki With a KO

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Heinz Kamutzki had an opponent all in and at risk preflop holding {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} against the player's {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. It was all over when the flop fell {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, giving Kamutzki quads, and the turn and river bricked {6-Clubs}, {q-Spades} respectively.

The player with eights, who lost a previous pot to Patrik Antonius when Antonius made a straight flush, was eliminated.

Set Over Set

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a series of bets and raises, Jeff Hakim had Nick Mullen all in and at risk on a board of {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Hakim: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Mullen: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Hakim had flopped a set of tens, but Mullen turned a higher set of queens. The {3-Diamonds} bricked off on the river, and Mullen doubled to 165,000.

Hakim slipped to 47,000 chips.

Chincuini Bluffing with the Best Hand Against Mercier

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jason Mercier was in the tank on the {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board for a couple of long minutes after Matias Chincuini fired a bet of 18,500. Eventually, Mercier made the call.

"Good call," said Chincuini before tabling the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights with a queen kicker. Mercier couldn't beat it, shook his head, and mucked.

Obrestad Pays the Tollgate

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We picked up the action on the turn with a board reading {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} when Annette Obrestad led out for 7,700 from the small blind only to have Tom "Tollgate" Grigg raise to 23,000. Obrestad folded, and while it wasn't that interesting of a hand, it gave us a good excuse to update you on both their stacks.

Huntly Strolls About the Woods

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Dennis Huntly opened for 2,600 from the cutoff and then called when Barry Woods moved all in for 12,300 from the small blind.

Huntly: {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Woods: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Huntly has been running well here on Day 2, and that didn't change in this hand as the board ran out a clean {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Two Kings Beat Up on Four Queens

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A preflop raising war resulted in Tolly Sakellariou and another player getting their chips all in against Craig Hartman.

Hartman: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Sakellariou: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Hartman woke up with kings at just the right time, and there would be no tomfoolery as the board ran out a clean {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Sakellariou had a few chips left but would be eliminated a short time later.
