Schemion Gets Value

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From the cutoff seat, Ole Schemion raised to 18,000. Igor Kurganov called on the button, and then Dani Stern called from the big blind. The flop came down {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}, and all three players checked to see the {3-Diamonds} land on the turn. Stern bet 34,000, Schemion called, and Kurganov folded.

The river was the {4-Diamonds}, and Stern checked. Schemion bet 66,000, and Stern tank-called. Schemion showed the {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for top pair with a nine kicker, and Stern mucked his hand.

Fee Doubles Through Seidel

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Play folded to Ryan Fee in the small blind, and he raised all in for 106,000 against Erik Seidel's big blind. Seidel thought about it and then made the call with the {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Fee has the {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} board gave Fee the win on the river, and he successfully doubled through.

Greenwood Backs Into a Straight

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Scott Seiver raised to 20,000 from the cutoff seat, Richard Yong called from the small blind, and Sam Greenwood called from the big blind to complete the preflop action and bring about the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. Play checked around, and the turn was the {8-Diamonds}. Again, action checked around.

After the {5-Spades} completed the board on the river, Yong checked, and Greenwood bet 40,000. Seiver called the bet, but Yong folded. Greenwood tabled the {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a straight, and Seiver mucked his hand with a shake of his head.

O'Dwyer Eliminated

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer will only be winning one $100,000 tournament this January, as he has been eliminated from play in this event. Previously this month, O'Dwyer won the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller.

On his final hand, O'Dwyer's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} was all in against the {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for Ole Schemion. The board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and that was the end of the line for O'Dwyer.

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

From the hijack seat, Erik Seidel raised to 14,000. Next to act was Jeff Rossiter, and he reraised to 40,000 out of the cutoff position. Seidel called, and the flop was {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{5-Spades}. Both checked, and the turn paired the board with queens for the second hand in a row at this table — {Q-Spades}. Seidel led for 35,000, and Rossiter gave it up.
