Polk Doubles Through Newey; Fee Out

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Doug Polk was all in from the button for 149,000. Paul Newey called from the big blind with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, and he was up against the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for Polk. The {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Clubs} board kept Polk's sevens best, and he won the pot to double up.

While this was happening, Ryan Fee was eliminated on Table 11.

Seidel Wins Huge Pot with Kings to Bust Gruissem

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

On the last hand of the last level, Erik Seidel had raised from the cutoff seat, and Philipp Gruissem reraised to 36,000 on the button. After the blinds folded, Seidel came back with a four-bet to 84,000. Gruissem then made it 160,000 to go with 266,000 behind. Seidel moved all in, and Gruissem called it off.

Seidel tabled the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, and Gruissem showed the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} with a shake of his head.

The {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop kept Seidel in front without much of a sweat, but the {Q-Clubs} turn card added a flush draw for Gruissem. The river was the {8-Spades}, though, and Gruissem sent all of his chips Seidel's way.

Seidel moved to 1.13 million in chips, and Gruissem was eliminated.

"Just another day in the life," joked Doug Polk to Seidel. "Wake up, eat some tuna, pick on the little guy, and get kings. Must be nice!"

Quad Kings for Mo

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Mo just picked up a big, 500,000-chip pot from Igor Kurganov with quad kings, and here's how it went down.

Play folded to Kurganov in the small blind, and he raised to 18,000. Mo reraised to 50,000, and Kurganov made the call. After the dealer placed out the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} flop, both players checked, and the {3-Hearts} landed on the turn. Kurganov checked, Mo bet 50,000, and Kurganov called.

The river was the {2-Clubs}, and Kurganov checked. Mo fired 150,000, and Kurganov tank-called. Mo tabled the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for quad kings, and Kurganov mucked his hand.

Seiver Doubles Through Fee

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Play folded to Ryan Fee in the small blind, and he limped in. Scott Seiver raised all in for 40,000 from the big blind, and Fee didn't realize Seiver only had 40,000 in chips. He called with the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Seiver had the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and Seiver doubled up.
