McKenzie Shoves River On Addamo

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} board, Michael Addamo fired a big bet of 94,000. Jesse McKenzie made the call, and the two watched the river card come the {J-Clubs}. Addamo checked, and McKenzie moved all in for 280,000. After getting a count on McKenzie's shove, Addamo went into the tank. He tanked for nearly five full minutes, but found a fold in the end, and McKenzie won the pot.

Ami Barer opened the pot to 16,000 from under the gun, and then Tony Hachem put in a reraise to 37,000 to 37,000 from the hijack seat. Play folded back to Barer, he called, and the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}. After Barer checked, Hachem fired 32,000. Barer gave it up, and Hachem picked up the pot to move over 500,000 in chips.

Liapis Leaves with Dignity

Bill Liapis gets emotional after making the money.
Bill Liapis gets emotional after making the money.

As you can tell from the attached picture, it meant a lot to Bill Liapis to make the money. Post bubble, he'd been nursing a short stack, and finally found a spot to get his chips in. He ended up busting, but in 42nd place, he made the second payout tier and earned himself an extra AU$5,000.

The action folded around to him in the hijack and he moved all in for his last 63,000. Alex Trevallion was in the big blind and made the call.

Liapis: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Trevallion: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to hand the pot and scalp to Trevallion.

"Good game, guys!" said Liapis. He headed off to the payout desk and then stopped by at Table 31 on his way to wish the best of luck to some of the players he'd go to know throughout this 2015 Aussie Millions Main Event.

Plenty of Ladies

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With around 160,000 in the pot and a board reading {4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Toan Ngoc Nguyen checked from the small blind and Jan Suchanek did the same from the big. Sarkiss Osalian then jammed for 244,000, Nguyen called, and Suchanek got out of the way.

Nguyen: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Osalian: {q-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Both players flopped trips, but Osalian's ace kicker gave him the best hand. The {3-Diamonds} river was of no consequence, and Nguyen sent a few columns of chips over to Osalian.

Ivey Sends Stephensen Home

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Felix Stephsnen

"That damn Ivey, huh?"

Those were the words from last year's World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up Felix Stephensen after he made his way to the payout desk following an elimination at the hands of Phil Ivey.

Stephensen's {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} couldn't overcome the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} of Ivey on the final board of {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and the Norwegian was gone from the 2015 Aussie Millions Main Event.

Ivey increased to 410,000 in chips.

Suchanek Doubles Longmate

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jan Suchanek is back down to around a million chips after doubling up another table mate, in the shape of David Longmate.

The Brit raised to 22,000 from mid position and Suchanek was the only caller from the button. The flop fanned {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Longmate check-raised Suchanek's 15,000 bet up to 40,000. Call.

The turn came the {4-Diamonds} and it turned out to be the gin card. Longmate checked again and when Suchanek bet 50,000 he snap moved all in for 123,000. Call.

Longmate slammed {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} down on the table for a full house, ahead of Suchanek's {k-Spades}{4-Spades} for trips. The river was the {j-Hearts} and Suchanek paid the man.

Defending Champ Chips Up

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ami Barer
Ami Barer

From under the gun, defending champion Ami Barer raised to 16,000. He was called by Richard Lyndaker from the small blind and Mike McDonald from the big blind before the dealer fanned the {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Lyndaker and McDonald checked, and Barer bet 27,000./ Both of his opponents folded, and Barer won the pot.
