"I Wish You Didn't Do That"

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Brian Rast raised to 33,000 from the hijack seat, and then Gerald Karlic reraised all in from the button. Play folded around the table to Calvin Ho in the big blind, and he folded, but not without showing his hand to his half of the table as he passed his cards to the muck. Action was then back on Rast, and he thought for a few moments before folded.

"I wish you didn't do that," Rast said to Ho.

Karlic won the pot, and moved to nearly 350,000 in chips.

Ho Takes One from Lynskey

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Lynskey raised to 33,000 from the cutoff seat, and Calvin Ho was the only caller from the small blind. On the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, Ho checked, Lynskey bet 38,000, and Ho called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and Ho checked. Lynskey checked behind, and the river was the {J-Clubs}. Ho led with a bet of 51,000, and Lynskey folded.

Anthony's Legg Up with Aces

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Anthony Legg has taken another giant leap forward after winning a big pot off Richard Lyndaker whilst holding pocket aces.

Lyndaker opened to 35,000 from under the gun and called after Legg three-bet to 85,000 from the cutoff. Both players checked the {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop before Lyndaker led for 196,000 on the {2-Spades} turn. Call. The river was the {9-Hearts} and Lyndaker fired again, for 235,000.

Legg made a funny face, looked how much Lyndaker had back, and made the call with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Lyndaker had made a pair on the river with {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} but it was no good.

Longmate Doubles Through Karlic

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On the button, David Longmate raised all in for 177,000. Gerald Karlic was in the big blind, and he made the call with the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Longmate had a dominated {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Despite being behind, Longmate pulled in front on the {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. He stayed in the lead after the {J-Diamonds} turn and {4-Clubs} river, and that earned Longmate the double up to 374,000 in chips. Karlic was left with 200,000.

Gerald Karlic Eliminated in 17th Place (AU$55,000)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Gerald Karlic - 17th Place
Gerald Karlic - 17th Place

Gerald Karlic moved all in from under the gun for just under 200,000, and then play folded over to Manny Stavropoulos on the button. He reraised all in for a little under 300,000, and everyone else folded to leave Karlic's {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} against the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for Stavropoulos.

The flop delivered Stavropoulos with top set — {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}. The turn finished things off when the {K-Diamonds} fell to give Stavropoulos quads, and then the {6-Clubs} landed on the river to complete the board.

Karlic took his leave in 17th place for AU$55,000, and Stavropoulos increased to about 475,000 in chips.

Andrew Chen Eliminated in 16th Place (AU$55,000)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Andrew Chen - 16th
Andrew Chen - 16th

Anthony Legg has scored another knockout. After elimination the legendary Phil Ivey last level, Legg has followed it up by eliminating another tough competitor in Andrew Chen.

It happened when Legg opened for 35,000 from the cutoff and a short-stacked Chen shoved all in for approximately 165,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Legg made the call, and the cards were flipped over.

Chen: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Legg: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Chen got it in good, but Legg was drawing to two live cards. Much to Chen's dismay, Legg paired one on the {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop. The {10-Spades} turn was a good card for Chen as he picked up an up-and-down straight draw, but he couldn't connect as the {5-Spades} blanked on the river.

Chen takes home AU$55,000 for his 16th-place finish.

Osalian Doubles Through Barer

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Defending champion Ami Barer's Day 4 charge has been halted slightly after he doubled up Sarkiss Osalian to drop to 1.45million.

They were heads up to an {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} turn where Barer raised to 173,000 after Osalian had bet 76,000. Osalian called and then called all in for 314,000 on the {4-Diamonds} river.

"Set?" asked Barer.

Osalian answered by opening {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for top set, beating out Barer's {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair.

Rast Keeps Winning

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Brian Rast
Brian Rast

From the cutoff seat, Manny Stavropoulos raised to 33,000. He was called in two spots — David Longmate in the small blind, and Brian Rast in the big blind — before the dealer presented the {Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. After Longmate and Rast checked, Stavropoulos fired a continuation bet of 55,000. Longmate folded, but Rast called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, and both players checked to see the {5-Diamonds} land on the river. Rast led with a wager of 130,000, and Stavropoulos quickly folded.

David Longmate Eliminated in 15th Place (AU$70,000)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
David Longmate - 15th Place
David Longmate - 15th Place

From the cutoff seat, David Longmate raised all in for 243,000. Brian Rast made the call on the button, and everyone else folded.

At risk, Longmate showed the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Rast tabled the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, and that was much to the displeasure of Longmate's crew on the rail.

"Jesus, f***ing hell," muttered Paul Newey as he leaned over the rail to get a closer look at the hand.

"Gotta get lucky again!" shouted Rob Schiffbauer standing right next to Newey.

Despite all the hope his rail had, the {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop didn't do too much for Longmate. Rast improved to top set, and Longmate was left needing a gutshot straight or a backdoor flush.

"We need a jack," said Newey.

"Jack or backdoor hearts," added Schiffbauer.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}, and that provided a glimmer of hope for Longmate as he looked for the double.

"Heart!" yelled Schiffbauer.

The river was red, but it was the {5-Diamonds}. With that, Longmate was gone in 15th place, and he took home AU$70,000. Rast increased his stack to over 2.85 million.

"We had a fun sweat!" said Schiffbauer as he patted Longmate on the back when he made his way over. "Oh well."
