Six-Handed Slow Down

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Action has slowed down since the last double up. In fact, the last two hands have ended in walks for the big blind.

Shorter stacks Darryll Fish and Kyle White have each pushed in preflop over the past half hour, but no one called.

Takashi Ogura Eliminated in 6th Place ($10,935)

Szymon Sobanda made it 25,000 and Takashi Ogura pushed in for 150,000 behind.

Sobanda got a count and made the call with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

Ogura's tournament life was riding on the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}, but he bowed out sixth after the {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} board only improved Sobanda.

Fish Again!

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Raiden Kan shoved the small blind and Darryll Fish called all-in in the big with the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Kan had the {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and hit the {3-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} board, but a pair of threes was not enough to sink Fish and he doubled.

David Leas Eliminated in 5th Place ($13,420)

David Leas

Darryll Fish made it 35,000 and David Leas called. They both checked the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop, but when the {10-Clubs} came on the turn and Leas bet 40,000, Fish jammed it in.

Leas called off his tournament life with the {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}, but trips were behind Fish's {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} straight.

The {8-Spades} river was a brick and Leas left fifth.

Fish Leads Into The Break

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Darryll Fish has moved into the chip lead after a big hand headed into the break.

Raiden Kan made it 35,000 on the button and Fish and Szymon Sobanda called in the blinds.

They both checked the {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, but when Kan continued for 55,000, only Fish called. Fish check-called another 110,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and after Fish checked, Kan counted out 140,000. Eventually, Kan checked and mucked when Fish turned over the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} having flopped a set.

The players then headed off on a 15-minute break. Updated counts can be found below.
