A Boat For Convey
A player that had just doubled up by cracking aces with kings, limped from the small blind on Marc Convey's big. Convey looked down at and raised to 700, after which his opponent called.
The flop brought and Convey opted to check behind with his full house.
On the turn the hit and Convey's opponent bet 800, which was called by the Brit.
The river brought another nine, putting three nines on the board, and Convey's opponent threw out 1,200.
Convey, now at risk of being beaten by a single nine, called with his full house, and his opponent showed for a bluff. Convey took down the pot and now sits slightly above the starting stack.

O'Donnell Enters
The board shows 191 entrants on Day 1b so far, which is up 18 already compared to last year's Day 1b flight while we're only in the second level of the day, and Kevin O'Donnell just entered the tournament.
O'Donnell has two WPT final tables under his belt, in 2005 and 2006, and his biggest result was a 21st place finish in the 2006 WSOP Main Event won by Jamie Gold.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race
The pace of play in the Main Event has been rather slow today, but no for a lack of effort. The structure here at Crown is so player friendly that nobody's forced to make big plays on the first day.
When wandering around the tournament room today we've seen countless small pots get checked down to the river, and we'll probably be wandering quite a bit more before catching some eye-popping action.
One For Bardah
"Won a hand! Woohoo!" Ronnie Bardah just yelled almost sarcastically after taking down a small pot. Bardah's day hasn't been going great, but we just caught him recoup some of his early losses.
Pete Matusik limped in middle position after which Bardah raised from the button to 700 and the player on his left called from the small blind. Matusik called as well, and the flop brought out .
Both the small blind and Matusik checked to Bardah who bet 1,075, to which both his opponents quickly folded.
Bardah celebrated winning this pot, but he still needs to win a few more to get back up to the starting stack of 30,000.
