Dejan Boskovic opened to 250,000 from under the gun with A♠8♠ and was called by Sheldon Mayer from directly behind with 7♠7♥. Malcolm Trayner then squeezed to 1,050,000 with Q♦Q♣ on the button and everyone folded.
A couple of hands later, Dean Blatt opened to 250,000 from early position and was three-bet to 600,000 by Ricky Vikas in the cutoff. Action folded back to Blatt, who shoved for 2,500,000 total. Vikas quickly called and a showdown was held.
