Joe Sandaev opened to 400,000 from the cutoff with A♠7♣ and was called by Andy Lee on the button with A♣5♣ and Josh Hutchins in the big blind holding 8♠5♠.

Everyone checked on the Q♣6♦6♣ flop and then Hutchins led out for 600,000 after picking up a straight draw on the 7♦ turn. Sandaev let his hand go, but Lee called with his flush draw.

The 9♠ river completed Hutchins' straight draw and he fired 1,600,000 into the middle. Lee tanked a while and decided to look Hutchins up with just ace-high.

Hutchins showed Lee the bad news and was sent the large pot to pull into the chip lead.

Sandaev floated a 200,000 bet from from Hutchins on the 5♦5♠2♣ flop and then both players checked on the 10♥ turn.

Sandaev led out for 425,000 with his queen-high on the 9♣ river and Hutchins let his hand go.

Kei Tanaka raised to 300,000 from early position and was three-bet to 800,000 by Michael Egan in the hijack. Joe Sandaev then shoved for his last 1,675,000 on the button and Tanaka went in as well for more.

Egan got out of the way and a showdown was held.

It was a race for Sandaev's tournament life, and the 3♦4♦10♠J♣2♣ runout left Sandaev best with a set of tens to award him the double up.

Tanaka, meanwhile, was knocked down to 2,250,000 to become one of the short stacks.

The 5♦ river paired the board and Lee slowed down and checked. Egan fired 1,800,000 into the middle and Lee laid his hand down.

Michael Egan opened to 300,000 from under the gun with A♣3♣ and was called by Josh Hutchins in the small blind holding K♥J♥ and Kei Tanaka in the big blind with 9♦6♦ for a three-way pot.

Action checked to Egan, who continued for 350,000 on the K♣4♣10♥ flop. Hutchins called and Tanaka got out of the way.

Hutchins checked again and Egan barreled for 1,100,000 on the Q♠ turn. Hutchins tanked a bit with top pair and a straight draw before eventually opting to lay it down — awarding the pot to Egan with just ace-high.

Both players checked on the 4♦4♥J♦ flop and then Lee took over the initiative with a bet of 400,000 on the K♣ turn. Tanaka called.

The Q♥ completed the board and Lee put 1,150,000 into the middle. Tanaka counted out calling chips and tanked for a bit, but eventually decided to let his sevens go — conceding the pot to Lee.
