The Freaks Come Out at Night

Whodini was an early hip hop group from Brooklyn, NY that got famous for their 1984 song "The Freaks Come Out at Night." When you work in a casino and cover tournaments that go late into the night, you often see things that you normally would not see during daylight hours. Like the song lyrics said, the freaks do come out at night.

Here's a perfect example... a drunk patron bum rushed media row and ate a cold plate of chips that had been sitting out for at least nine hours. He didn't care and munched away. About fifteen minutes later, the same guy was being escorted out of the casino by four security guards for reasons unknown by this reporter.

Several other intoxicated poker fans stumbled by media row and inquired about the whereabouts of Phil Ivey.

"He's in Las Vegas," we mentioned. "He'll be here next week."

Of course, the night would not be complete without one gentleman who slurred his words as he asked, "Where the f--- is Bill Ivey?"
