Schwartz v Popov Getting Intense

Justin Schwartz and Alexey Popov have been trading the lead back and forth.

Schwartz has his pocket queens cracked on a J-T-9 flop when Popov held J-9 for two pair.

However Schwartz got some revenge when he flopped a set of nines when all in against Popov's K-J.

Popov has the chip lead after hit quads twice so far in this match, but Schwartz is fighting it out as the blinds start to rise!

Justin Schwartz has levelled his series with Alexey Popov at 1-1.

Schwartz held {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} against the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} of Popov and although a queen hit the board, there were four diamonds to give Schwartz a flush to win the pot and the match.

This heads-up battle had been going back and forth for quite some time. In the end the blinds reached a point where the players were forced to gamble.

The final hand came when Clonie Gowen called the all in push of Joe Le. Gowen held the lead with {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} against Le's {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Le slams his fist in delight on the table as the miracle king on the river gives him the pot and the win.

After two gruelling head-up matches, Gowen is eliminated from the event while Le progresses to round three!
