McSwiney Makes a Big Laydown

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Kahle Burns made it 65,000 from under the gun with AK and Joshua McSwiney three-bet to 250,000 from middle position holding QQ. When it got back to Burns, he four-bet to 250,000, sending McSwiney into the tank.

"If you just jam, I beat you into the pot, now I'm thinking of making the most insane fold of my life," said McSwiney. Eventually, after around two minutes, McSwiney folded his queens face up.

Joshua McSwiney: AQ All in
John Perry: AQ

It was no surprise to see the two chop the pot on the K488J runout, meaning McSwiney lived to see another hand.

Anthony Xu Eliminated in 8th Place (A$$27,970)

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Anthony Xu
Anthony Xu

Anthony Xu shoved from the hijack for around 315,000 and Noel Jaber called on the button.

Anthony Xu: JJ All in
Noel Jaber: QQ

Xu momentarily thought he had the best hand as the J dropped in the window, but it was followed by the 6Q, giving both players a set! Xu's hopes of survival were completely wiped out when the Q turn gave Jaber quads. The inconsequential K completed the board, and Xu exited in 8th.

One More Level

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

There are around 20 minutes left of this level. Once the level is over, the remaining players will play one more level and then the survivors will bag up for the evening and head into an unscheduled Day 3.

Pu Picks Off Jaber's Bluff

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Noel Jaber opened A9 from under the gun to 60,000 and Weiran Pu called with 55 in the cutoff.

They went to a flop of J2J where Jaber check-called a bet of 55,000 from Pu to the 7 turn, which went check-check.

A 6 filled out the board and Jaber led out for 260,000, sending Pu into the tank. Eventually, Pu did make the call with his pocket fives, picking off the bluff of Jaber.

Perry Doubles Thanks to Pu's Fold

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kahle Burns made it 90,000 from early position and Weiran Pu called in the small blind with 99. John Perry shoved from the big blind for 245,000, and Burns called. Pu then folded his nines.

John Perry: 66 All in
Kahle Burns: 55

Pu told the table that he folded pocket nines and they seemed shocked by that decision. Perry, who wasn't so mad about it, earned a double-up in an unorthodox way as he ended the hand with six-high on an 8JJ48 runout.
