$3,300 APO Main Event
Day 3 Started
The stage is set for one last battle in the 2025 Australian Poker Open A$3,300 Main Event, with just eleven players still in contention for the trophy, the title, and the lion’s share of the A$2,001,000 prize pool.
Leading the way is none other than Kahle Burns, who bagged 6,640,000 in chips after a dramatic Day 2 inside Club Marconi at Doltone House Western Sydney. Burns' journey to the top of the counts included a miraculous escape against pocket aces and several pivotal pots down the stretch, as the Aussie eyes yet another major title on home soil.

| 10 | Luke Edwards | Australia | 785,000 | 10 |

Hot on his heels is Steven Zhou with 6,200,000, while Paawan Bansal sits not far behind on 5,180,000. With multiple dangerous stacks still in the mix and seasoned pros scattered throughout the lineup, the race to crown the next APO Main Event champion is anything but straightforward.

|---|---|
| 1 | $390,000 |
| 2 | $240,000 |

All eleven remaining players are guaranteed at least A$26,700, but all eyes are firmly on the A$390,000 top prize that awaits the champion. With payouts steadily increasing at each elimination, the pressure will only build as the field battles toward the final table and the life-changing six-figure score.
There will be no seat draw as the final eleven players will remain in the same seats that they finished Day 2 in. Only when the final table is reached will a redraw take place.
Play resumes at 2 p.m. local time and the plan is simple: play down to a winner. Stay tuned to PokerNews for every elimination, chip count update, key hand, and crowning moment from what promises to be an unforgettable finale.

Romain Morvan opened to 160,000 form the cutoff and Yuanting Wang defended his big blind.
Wang checked to Morvan, who continued for 100,000 on the K♥A♦5♦ flop. Wang called.
Both players then checked down on the J♦ turn and 3♥ river and Wang turned over Kx7x for a pair of kings.
Morvan revealed Kx10x for the same pair with a superior kicker and claimed the pot.

Kahle Burns opened the button to 160,000 and Romain Morvan shoved from the small blind for 1,290,000. Paawan Bansal pondered for some time in the big blind but did eventually fold, putting the action back on Burns.
"I'm gonna need a second. I might be slow-rolling," said Burns while he contemplated the decision. After around 30 seconds, Burns called.
Romain Morvan: 10♥10♣
Kahle Burns: K♥Q♠
Morvan was again flipping for his tournament life, just as he was toward the back end of Day 2. The Frenchman managed to survive yesterday and did the same here as the 2♥8♣6♠A♦J♦ runout kept his tens in the lead, earning him a double-up.

Romain Morvan is on the ascent!
Just a couple of hands after doubling through Kahle Burns, Morvan opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 475,000 by Yuanting Wang in the big blind. Morvan announced he was all in for approximately 2,900,000 and Wang called all in for his last 2,800,000 after a bit of thought.
Yuanting Wang: A♦Q♥
Romain Morvan: A♠K♥
Wang found himself dominated, and the 6♣5♥5♣2♦9♣ runout provided no help to Wang — eliminating him in eleventh place.

And just like that, the final table is set!
Kahle Burns opened from under the gun to 180,000 and Romain Morvan three-bet from the next seat to 475,000. Kiavash Arbabi was in the big blind and committed his stack of 240,000. Burns then took some time before he put in a four-bet, which got a quick fold from Morvan.
Kiavash Arbabi: Q♠9♣
Kahle Burns: K♣J♠
Arbabi was live and had a fair chance at tripling up, otherwise he would be the final table bubble boy. The 6♣A♥7♠ flop didn't improve either player, but Burns paired his jack on the J♣ turn. Only a queen on the river could save Arbabi, but the 5♣ peeled off, leaving him out in tenth.
