Roni Hakim had already shoved from the small blind for approximately 30,000 and was called by Nelson Dong, who was the initial raiser, to put Hakim at risk.

"It's a race," Dong said before the dealer spread out a 10♣Q♥A♣ flop — pulling Hakim into the lead with a pair of aces.

It wasn't Hakim's day, however, as the 6♠ turn improved Dong to a set and left Hakim drawing slim.

The J♥ river kept Hakim second-best despite improving him to two pair and Dong was sent the pot.

Ajez Drills the River to Double Through Burns

Amin Riyazati opened to 4,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 11,500 by Kahle Burns in the cutoff. It was then folded to Najeem Ajez in the small blind, who shoved for 58,000 total.

Riyazati tanked a bit before deciding to fold and Burns called to put Ajez at risk.

"Yes!" Ajez shouted upon seeing he was in a coin flip situation with his pair of fours.

The 9♠7♥6♥ flop kept Ajez ahead, but gave Burns outs to a flush in addition to his overs.

The A♦ turn paired Burns and left Ajez drawing to two outs, but a fateful 4♦ landed on the river, improving Ajez to a set for the double up.

"I folded nines!" Riyazati added as Ajez collected the pot.

Boucas Doubles Through Jehu

A large pot was already brewing between Constantinos Boucas and Liam Jehu on a board of 7♣J♥Q♦7♦.

Jehu checked from under the gun to Boucas, who shoved on the button for approximately 85,000 — which was well in excess of the pot.

"I'm always supposed to call, but you've given me such an opportunity to fold," Jehu said as he agonized over his decision.

Eventually, the clock was called and floor gave Jehu a countdown to declare his action or have his hand ruled dead.

Jehu stuck in a call with seconds to go and cards were revealed.

Jehu saw the bad news, and the 2♥ river kept Boucas' kings best to award him the massive double up.

"Merry Christmas," a dejected Jehu said.
