2025 Australian Poker Open Kicks Off with the A$350 Diamond Cup
The highly anticipated 2025 Australian Poker Open is officially underway, launching an eleven-day poker spectacle at Club Marconi at Doltone House Western Sydney. This year’s series opened with the A$350 Diamond Cup, which smashed through its massive A$500,000 guarantee with a prize pool of A$625,200—one of the largest prize pools ever attached to a buy-in at this level in Australia.
The Day 1's began on April 14 in the Diamond Cup and drew a huge field of 2,084 players from across the region, all eager to claim their share of the action. After several opening flights, the tournament has now been whittled down to around 12.5% of the field and the survivors return today, April 19, for Day 2, where the race toward the final table—and the title—continues at 12 p.m..
