Roller Coaster Hand Sends Final 11 into Day 2 as St Lawrent Busts

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Nancy St Lawrent
Nancy St Lawrent

Nancy St Lawrent shoved her last 60,000 under the gun and Nate Helms three-bet to 125,000 in the cutoff.

Nancy St Lawrent: {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Nate Helms: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

St Lawrent had run into a better ace but the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop gave her some split pot outs. The {6-Spades} hit on the turn giving her the lead but the {10-Clubs} fell on the river, sending her home in 12th place.

Only 11 players remain and are currently bagging for Day 2.

Courtright Makes Quads to Quadruple

Level 17 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Cheyenne Courtright
Cheyenne Courtright

Cheyenne Courtright put her last 30,000 in the middle before the flop and went four ways.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the action checked to Wasim Soomro who put in a bet of 50,000 and both players snap-mucked.

Cheyenne Courtright: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Wasim Soomro: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

"I flopped trips!" Said Courtright.

Her trips quickly improved as the {j-Spades} hit the turn, giving her quads and the {3-Hearts} river was just a formality as she collected the pot.

Russo Bursts the Bubble

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Paul Russo
Paul Russo

On a flop of {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Paul Russo checked to Nick Sims who crossed the line with 300,000 in grey chips. Russo had about 90,000 and went into the tank for about thirty seconds before announcing he called as he flipped his hand face up.

Paul Russo: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Nick Sims: {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Sims had a pair of sevens but Russo had two overcards and a flush draw. The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn changing nothing and the {3-Spades} landed on the river, bricking all of Russo's outs and he was eliminated on the bubble.

All 27 players remaining have cashed for $500 and play will continue until just 11 players have chips.

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Will Unruh
Will Unruh

Will Unruh raised to 8,000 in early position and the button jammed for 14,500. The blinds quickly folded and Unruh put in the chips to call.

Button: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Will Unruh: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Unruh had his opponent dominated and the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop put him further ahead with top two pair. The {10-Diamonds} hit the turn, giving his opponent some outs to chop but the {9-Spades} on the river meant he was eliminated from the tournament.
