Day 1b is upon us as the Florida World Championship of the Bar Poker Open (BPO) here in West Palm Beach continues it's 2024 event.
The Palm Beach Kennel Club is where the action will take place as the last flight of the invite-only $365 Championship Event which begins today at 11 a.m. ET.
Day 1a's 264 entries created a prize pool of $76,500, and will be combined with today's prize pool to make up the total purse. The victor of the event will receive least $30,000 for their efforts.
Patrick Martorella Leads the pack from Day 1a as the chip leader with 732,000.

Those who fire in both days of this event are gifted a free entry into Event #8 Bar Poker Open Vegas sattelite worth $150 that begins play tomorrow night.
Players in today's flight will start with 30,000 chips and blinds of 100/100 with a 100 ante. Levels increase every 30 minutes and play will continue until 10% of the field remains with all players in the money from the start of Day 2. Registration is open until the start of Level 9, and players have a single $365 re-entry available to them until then.
Players who bagged yesterday's flight may play again today with the ‘best bag forward’ for Day 2 at 11 a.m. on Monday. These players will also receive a $1,000 double bag bonus, with their shortest stack being forfeited.

Ron Mangiarelli called from middle position, along with Late position and the small blind.
The big blind checked their option and the four players headed to the flop.
After the board came 8♣8♦J♠ both blinds were quick to check. Mangiarelli fired for 700 and the remaining players folded.
He revealed 8♥8♠ as his tablemates mentioned that he "only plays the nuts."

Action was caught after the flop of 9♥K♠8♥ and Johnny Kelly (US) led out for 7,400.
Both remaining players folded for Kelly to take the pot.
Kelly bagged yesterdays flight with a stack of 171,000 and is playing to secure a larger stack heading into the Day 2.

Ron Campernik raised to 600 from early position and Nikki Theroux defended her big blind.
The flop came 4♣6♠9♦ and Theroux checked her option. Campernik fired for 1,500 and was called.
After the turn peeled the 7♦ , Theroux checked to Campernik. He fired for 2,000 and was rewarded with the pot.
The following hand, Campernik raised to 600 from under the gun. Middle position and the button called.
The flop came 2♥K♣8♠ and Campernik continued for 1,200. Middle position raised to 3,000 and only Campernik found the call.
As the turn came the A♥, Campernik fired for 2,000 and won the pot. Campernik joins us as part of Team NLH from Atlantic City.

Under the gun raised to 600 and Robert Beland called from middle position. The small blind led for 1,600 and both players made the call.
The flop came A♥7♦10♣ and the small blind checked. Under the gun checked to Beland who fired for 4,000. Neither contesting player made the call.
Beland qualified into the BPO by playing in the affiliate league of the Easter Poker Tour.
