A Boat For Tendam

Level 3 : Blinds 300/600, 0 ante

Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between Damon Gizzi from under the gun and Hendrikus Tendam in the big blind.

With 3,000 in the center and a board reading 87J, Tendam checked over to Gizzi, who bet 3,000, which Tendam responded to by raising to 6,000. Gizzi raised to 12,000 in response and Tendam called.

On the turn 3, Tendam bet 12,000, prompting Gizzi to move all in for 16,000, which Tendam called.

Damon Gizzi: 109 All in
Hendrikus Tendam: 88

"Keep it clean, please," asked Gizzi, but the deck had other ideas as the river J gave Tendam a full house to eliminate Gizzi from the tournament.

Richter Finds The Best River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 0 ante

Action was picked up in a three-way pot with James Richter on the button with two other players out of position.

On the board reading 469 and a pot containing 4,800 in the middle, the player in the big blind checked to the late position player who bet 1,200, which both Richter and the big blind called.

The turn peeled off the Q and action once more checked to the late position player who bet 3,000 and only Richter called this time.

On the river 10, the late position player checked over to Richter who bet 10,000, earning a quick call.

"Nuts," declared Richter as he turned over 87, which while not quite being the nuts was still a straight. His opponent nodded as he flashed 1010 for a rivered set of tens.

"I'd rather be lucky than good," Richter said while raking in the pot.
