Level 30
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Tereza Vernerova opened to 400,000 from early position, and Ryan Sweeney three-bet to 1,100,000 from the cutoff. Vernerova made the call, and the two players went to a flop of K♠9♣2♣.
Sweeney continued with a bet of 1,400,000, but Vernerova raised to 4,000,000. Sweeney quickly moved all-in, and Vernerova called after thinking about it briefly.
With two of the biggest stacks involved, the cards were revealed:
Ryan Sweeney: A♣A♦
Tereza Vernerova: 9♠9♦
Sweeney had pocket aces, but Vernerova had flopped a set of nines. Sweeney got up from his chair, hoping to find a way out of the hand.
The 7♣ turn gave him some extra outs with a possible flush draw, but the 10♠ river changed nothing. Vernerova won the huge pot and moved into the chip lead.
