Vernerova Finds a Big Call
Level 41
: Blinds 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante
James Malatynski limped the button with Q♠6♣, and Tereza Vernerova checked her option in the big blind with K♣7♠.
On the 8♥J♥K♦ flop, Vernerova check-called a bet of 3,000,000 from Malatynski.
The 9♠ landed on the turn, and Malatynski continued with a bet of 7,000,000. Vernerova called once again.
The 6♦ completed the board on the river. After Vernerova checked for a third time, Malatynski moved all-in for 34,200,000, putting her tournament life at risk.
Vernerova took her time before making the call, securing a full double-up and leaving Malatynski with a much shorter stack.
