Kyle Cartwright Eliminated in 3rd Place ($88,761)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Kyle Cartwright
Kyle Cartwright

After Hal Rotholz folded on the button, Jake Ferro completed his small blind with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Kyle Cartwright raised his option with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Rotholz limp-jammed on him and he snap-called.

A queen-high flop {6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} gave Rotholz two more outs to send Cartwright out in third place. The first of his two shots missed on the turn {2-Clubs} but the river {q-Diamonds} gave Rotholz trips, topping Cartwright's cowboys to end his run just shy of the top.

Cartwright takes home $88,761 for his performance; meanwhile, Rotholz and Ferro are taking a quick break before beginning their heads-up match with Ferro taking a lead into the contest.

Kyle Cartwright was in the cutoff and raised to 160,000 with {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Johnny Landreth called on the button with {k-Spades}{9-Spades} and then Hal Rotholz three-bet to 410,000 in the small blind. Cartwright folded and then Landreth called, leaving himself 205,000 behind.
