Raio Over Six Figures

Nick Raio has just surpassed 100,000 in chips after joining shortly before the most recent break of the tournament. After chipping up to more than 60,000 by the break, he has since continued his ascent, mostly with small pots and no showdowns. He did, however, share one hand history of late in which he took a player's stack along the way.

According to Raio, he opened the cutoff and received a call from the big blind. Both players checked the flop, bringing the turn . The big blind led out for 2,500 and Raio pumped it up to 6,000, prompting a three-bet jam from the big blind for 27,000.

Raio counted out his remaining stack of a bit more than 50,000 and found a call.

Raio's top two pair and nut flush draw were up against a jack-high straight, leaving him in need of improving further to win the pot. The river fell in his favor and he took down the pot with the nut flush as a result.
