Oh What Could Have Been

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Two of the larger stacks remaining just clashed in what could have been a far larger pot, but the players chose to play it more cautiously, rather than just get it in preflop.

Action opened with Jacob Ferro raising to 14,000 in middle position and getting three-bet by Brett Feder on the button. Ferro opted to call and see a flop.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Ferro checked. Feder bet 35,000 and Ferro called.

On the {k-Spades} turn, the players both checked, and the {10-Clubs} came on the river.

Ferro now led for 25,000 and Feder said he had to pay it off and called.

Ferro showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for a turned pair of kings. Feder showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, which shortly after went into the muck.

Oh what could have been indeed.

Khomutetsky Gets Big Double Through Germany

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Hyndi Khomutetsky
Hyndi Khomutetsky

With approximately 60,000 in the middle on a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Ron Germany bet 26,000 in early position and Hyndi Khomutetsky moved all in for 154,000.

Germany thought for a couple of minutes then decided to make the call.

Hyndi Khomutetsky: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Ron Germany: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Germany had made a disbelieving call with ace-king high, but had run into Khomutetsky's aces.

The board completed with the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and {10-Spades} on the river to secure a big double-up for Khomutetsky.

meanwhile at an adjacent table, David Dibernardi, who final tabled last year's Main Event is a recent elimination.
