Daniels Rakes in a Small One

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jake Daniels
Jake Daniels

Jake Daniels opened to 1,700 from middle position and was called by the big blind.

On the {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop, the big blind checked and Daniels bet 1,700. Daniels tried to return his cards to the dealer thinking his opponent had folded but that wasn't the case.

As Daniel's cards had not touched the muck, he was able to retrieve them and the big blind called.

"I should have raised there but I would've felt bad," said the big blind.

Action then checked through on the {a-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river.

The big blind turned over his {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for ten-high. Daniels saw his opponent's cards but did not say whether he had better.

"No way," echoed Farrell, who thought the big blind was going to win with his missed straight draw.

The big blind began to stand up but then sat down after Daniels turned over his {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to win the pot. The table then eruoted with laughter before the next hand was dealt.
