The fourth and final day of the 2023 BetMGM Poker Championship $3,500 Main Event in the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort and Casino is almost underway and will commence at 2 p.m. PDT with seven players remaining. The final table action will be streamed by PokerGO on a one-hour delay beginning at 3 p.m.

Rising star Leo Taffe leads the final six players with a commanding chip lead with 115 big blinds, while second in chips Sundiata DeVore only has 38.

Mike Vanier is not far behind with 32 blinds while Stephen Song and Mo Zhou bagged 27 and 28, respectively. Kevin Berthelsen and Johann Ibanez will both be returning as the short stacks with 16 big blinds each but if this final table is anything like the rest of the tournament, it is still anyone’s game.

Leo Taffe opened from middle position to 300,000 with KQ. Mike Vanier, who had ace-king in the previous hand, looked down at his AA and three-bet to 900,000 from the hijack. Taffe reraised to 2,000,000 and made the snap-fold when Vanier jammed.

Leo Taffe opened to 300,000 under-the-gun with KK and Mike Vanier made the call to his left with 66. The action folded around to Sundiata DeVore who woke up with JJ and puts in a three-bet to 1,100,000.

Taffe then clicked it back to 1,900,000 and DeVore went into the tank before making the call and the two players went to a flop of 1094.

DeVore checked over to Taffe who then continued for 700,000 and DeVore made the call.

The turn came out the 4 and DeVore checked again to Taffe who then moved all in to cover.

DeVore burned through all of his time banks before he finally decided to make the correct fold, awarding the huge pot to the chip leader.
