Ronald Sullivan started the hand with 215,000 and opened to 50,000 from the button. Jun Hao Wu, in the small blind, used up a time bank before folding. Melanie Pittard was in the big blind and jammed as the bigger stack. Sullivan snap-called.
Ronald Sullivan: Q♣Q♠
Melanie Pittard: A♣Q♦
The K♣9♥5♠ flop was safe for Sullivan, but a look of despair crossed his face as the A♥ turn hit the felt. The K♦ completed the board, and Sullivan bowed out in 51st place.
On a heads-up completed board of 9♥10♠4♥A♦2♦, the pot had around 300,000 in it when Nick Yunis moved all in to cover his opponent, Jeffrey Stellwagon.
After tanking for a bit, Stellwagon shrugged and set out his chips, putting himself at risk of elimination.
Yunis then tabled Q♠J♥ for a bricked straight draw and queen-high and Stellwagon proudly flipped over A♣2♣ for two-pair to scoop the pot for a double up.
Thomas Eychenne had just doubled up Mark Dickstein to bring his stack down to 300,000 and his chips were in the middle soon after.
David Stamm opened the action by raising to 45,000 from under the gun. Kenny Deffrasnes called on the button before Anuj Agarwal made it 175,000 from the small blind. Eychenne then jammed for 300,000 and only Agarwal called.
Thomas Eychenne: KxKx
Anuh Agarwal: AxAx
It was a huge cooler for Eychenne and he left the PokerGO Studio after failing to improve on the Jx7x5x4x3x runout.
Justin Young opened to 40,000 from under the gun and was called by Nolan King from the small blind. Matthew Lambrecht had just 10,000 behind after he paid the big blind and ante and called off his stack blind.
Young and King were rooting for Lambrecht but declared they would gun for each other for the side pot.
King check-called for 40,000 on the J♣5♠2♣ pot and then claimed the side pot after his 65,000 bet on the Q♠ turn as Young folded.
"I don't have a pair yet," said Nolan as he tabled his A♦3♦.
Lambrecht peeled his first card, which was an unhelpful 8♦, but the second was the Q♦ to give a pair of queens for the lead. The J♦ completed the board and Lambrecht saw his stack rise to 110,000.
The next hand, King opened to 45,000 and called when Lambrecht moved all in again.
Matthew Lambrecht: A♥7♦
Nolan King: Q♠3♠
Neither player connected on the 8x9♦2♥6♥K♣ runout and Lambrecht raked in a double-up.
After a preflop betting war, Johann Ibanez, Fernando Garcia, and Yong Kwon got all the chips in the middle, with Garcia covering.
Yong Kwon: 10♥10♦
Johann Ibanez: J♣J♦
Fernando Garcia: 8♥8♣
Ibanez was in a prime position to scoop the huge pot, and the runout was pure as it came 9♠Q♣4♦K♣3♦ for his jacks to hold.
He was pushed the massive pot to jump his stack up tp 1,900,000 while Kwon was eliminated. Garcia was left with only 75,000 after this exchange and ended up busting a few hands later.
Clemen Deng started the hand with 345,000 and opened to 50,000 from under the gun. Nadya Magnus called from the big blind.
On the A♦K♥10♦ flop, Magnus checked which prompted Deng to bet 30,000. Magnus made it 130,000 and called when Deng jammed.
Clemen Deng: A♥K♦
Nadya Magnus: A♠J♣
Deng was ahead with his two pair but Magnus had a draw to Broadway as her most likely route to victory. The 6♣ turn and 5♥ river were safe and Deng doubled.
Yilu Yuan jammed for 250,000 from the hijack. Jun Hao Wu then shipped in his 880,000 stack from the small blind. Anuj Agarwal called in the big blind to put both players at risk.
Yilu Yuan: A♥7♥
Jun Hao Wu: 10♣10♥
Anuj Agarwal: A♠K♠
The Q♦5♦3♠ flop kept Wu ahead as did the J♥ turn. Yuan was drawing dead but Agarwal had Broadway outs as well as his overcards.
The 8♦ river ensured the pocket pair remained best and Wu dragged in the massive pot.
On a heads-up flop of 5♣K♣Q♣ Erfan Geula bet 75,000 and Kenny Deffrasnes made the call to see the 6♣ turn.
Both players decided to check and went straight to the river Q♦. Guela then fired for 140,000 and Deffrasnes went into the tank for a bit before he decided to make the call.
He was then shown A♣J♣ for the flopped nut flush by Guela and he hastily sent his cards into the muck to award the pot to Guela.
