Monosson Raises the River
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Edric Nicoli opened the action with a raise to 800 from middle position. His only customer was Daniel Monosson in the cutoff.
The players checked to the river, leaving the board to read 8♠10♦9♣Q♦Q♠. At this point, Nicoli led out for 2,000, only to see a snap-raise to 7,000 from his opponent. He mulled it over for quite a while, before opting on a call. Monosson showed A♣J♦ for the winner.
