Opening Event at 18 Entries with Registration Still Open

Borgata
Borgata

The first event of the Big Big Series at Borgata is growing, and the field in the $1,100 Big Big Welcome H.O.R.S.E. has gone from under 10 players at the start of Level 1 to 18 in Level 6 with less than 30 minutes until the third break of the day.

Registration is still open until the start of Level 10. The tournament has a $25,000 prize pool guarantee, so another seven entries will see the guarantee met.

Who is in the $1,100 H.O.R.S.E. Field?

Bruce Yamron

The $1,100 Big Big Welcome H.O.R.S.E. event is just getting back from break with 13 players registered in the $25,000 guaranteed series kickoff event.

There are some experienced mixed games players in the field, including Bruce Yamron who has over $1 million in The Hendon Mob cashes. Yamron was the runner-up in the 2014 $1,500 Eight Game Mix event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Who won that event? None other than arguably the greatest poker player ever, Phil Ivey, an Atlantic City poker legend.

Vincent Basilicata is another experienced poker player in the field. He's won a few tournaments during his career at Borgata.

William Blanda joined the field early. Blanda has over $900,000 in live tournament cashes dating back more than two decades. He took down a World Poker Tour (WPT) side event at Borgata in 2005 for $114,390.

How Do You Get into the Big Big Series on the Cheap?

Buy-ins for the Big Big Series, which just got underway, range from $600 to $5,300. Of course, that's if you're buying straight in to each tournament between now and Sept. 23.

Players can start trying to win their way into the Big Big Series from the very first day.

Super Sattie Sunday takes place on today, with milestone qualifiers kicking off every other hour from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m.

There will be $250 1-in-10 qualifiers to any $2,200 event, while $140 1-in-10s offer seats to any $1,100 tournament on the schedule. A $1,000 Borgata Big 3 also gets underway at 4 p.m.

It's a particularly useful addition considering how many of the headline tournaments fall into those two buy-in brackets, including the $1 million guaranteed Kick Off, $500,000 Mystery Bounty and $200,000 PLO event at $2,200.
